For the better world

Right now, Australia is being ravaged by one of the most devastating bushfire seasons the country has ever seen. Koalas are heading towards extinction in New South Wales and southeast Queensland as early as 2050. We must act to protect them now, or they could disappear in a matter of decades. Saving the Koala, or any animal or ecosystem begins with each individual person. Everyone, no matter how small, can do something to help.

Kristin Kossi is a German artist living and working in Hamburg. Seeing painting as a way to express herself, she harnesses the beauty of human expressions to create complex oil portraits. She uses a very personal technique that has been perfected in recent years and that distinguishes the style, making it virtually inimitable. Her eye-catching oil portraits are large and prefer heavy layers of oil paint, deconstruction and abstracted forms. Moving with ease from contemporary portraiture to pop art, her acrylic paintings are bright, bold, fun pop art pieces full of style and panache. The artist works with a spatula, overlays multiple layers by using oil, spray paint and other media to create colorful visual worlds.  Kristin Kossi’s works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions, and also been published in numerous magazines including British Vogue, GQ and Grazia.
