About Kristin Kossi

Kristin Kossi is a German contemporary artist with Ukrainian, Russian, and West African roots. From an early age, she developed a passion for drawing and painting. After graduating from the Academy of Fashion Design in Hamburg, she gained extensive experience in fashion, photography, and graphic design before dedicating herself exclusively to her art in 2011.

Kristin Kossi first became known for her bold Pop Art, combining iconic characters, street art, luxury brands, and social commentary into dynamic, layered compositions. Through vibrant colors, graffiti-inspired elements, and a distinctive visual language, she created works that celebrate freedom, optimism, and self-determination—artworks that are now held in private collections around the world.

In recent years, her artistic practice has evolved significantly. Inspired by her life between Germany and South Africa, as well as the untouched landscapes of her private mountain nature reserve in the Western Cape, her work has expanded beyond Pop Art to include expressive abstract and nature-inspired paintings. These contemporary works explore themes of wilderness, light, time, freedom, and the relationship between humanity and nature.

Working with a diverse range of materials—including acrylics, oil sticks, spray paint, markers, and collage—Kristin combines intuitive painting with expressive mark-making and richly layered surfaces. Her artworks invite viewers to discover new details with every encounter and to form a personal connection with the story behind each piece.

Kristin Kossi's work has been featured internationally in magazines and media, including New York Weekly, which recognized her in 2025 as one of the Top Female Disruptors. Today, her original artworks can be found in private collections across more than 30 countries worldwide.
