Original artwork by Kristin Kossi 2021. Acrylic, collage, spray paint, metallic glitter, epoxy on canvas. Signed and dated.

 About the artwork:

Known for her timeless elegance and chic simplicity, Audrey Hepburn has been revered as one of the most beautiful and stylish women since captivating American film audiences in Roman Holiday (1953).

This silver and pastel-toned artwork is a modern interpretation of Audrey’s iconic style — graceful, refined, and effortlessly captivating. Created using acrylics and glitter, and finished with a glossy layer of epoxy resin, the surface shimmers with depth and dimension.

Flowing, aquarelle-like patterns evoke both softness and vulnerability, subtly mirroring the delicate texture of skin and the fleeting nature of beauty. The gentle hues and fluid forms lend the piece a sense of calm sophistication, making it not just a portrait, but a poetic tribute to an enduring icon.

My work lives at the intersection of bold pop culture and personal reflection. Through layered textures, iconic characters, and unexpected juxtapositions, I explore the contradictions of modern life — glamour and grit, success and satire, chaos and clarity. Much of my work reimagines familiar faces — from cartoon legends to luxury icons — not to glorify them, but to question them, twist them, and ultimately make them my own. Characters like Mr. Monopoly, Bugs Bunny, or Homer Simpson become vessels to talk about ambition, abundance, and the absurdity of our times. It’s all pop — but it’s also deeply personal.

At the heart of it, I believe in art as transformation. I believe in creativity not just as a medium, but as a way of life — to shift perspective, to provoke thought, and to connect.
