Original artwork by Kristin Kossi 2024. Acrylic, oil stick, spray paint on 175 gsm craft paper. Matt UV-varnish, signed and dated, unframed, shipped rolled.

About the artwork:

Featuring beloved character Tweety in his moment of profound transformation. The broken eggshell represents the barriers and limitations that we all face in life — the fears, doubts, and insecurities that hold us back from realizing our true potential. Breaking free from these constraints, Tweety embodies the resilience and courage required to embrace change and soar to new heights. The quote "Break the shell, elevate and fly" serves as a poignant reminder that true growth and fulfillment lie in daring to challenge the status quo, to break free from the confines of comfort and familiarity, and to embrace the unknown with open arms!

My work lives at the intersection of bold pop culture and personal reflection. Through layered textures, iconic characters, and unexpected juxtapositions, I explore the contradictions of modern life — glamour and grit, success and satire, chaos and clarity. Much of my work reimagines familiar faces — from cartoon legends to luxury icons — not to glorify them, but to question them, twist them, and ultimately make them my own. Characters like Mr. Monopoly, Bugs Bunny, or Homer Simpson become vessels to talk about ambition, abundance, and the absurdity of our times. It’s all pop — but it’s also deeply personal.

At the heart of it, I believe in art as transformation. I believe in creativity not just as a medium, but as a way of life — to shift perspective, to provoke thought, and to connect.
