About the Artwork:
Make Your Life Delicious is an original 100 × 100 cm Scrooge McDuck Pop Art painting by contemporary artist Kristin Kossi, blending humor, ambition and the idea of consciously creating the life you want.
Reimagined as a confident master chef, Scrooge prepares an unexpected “money dish,” transforming one of his most familiar obsessions into a playful metaphor for creativity and self-made success. Here, success is not something that simply happens it is prepared, seasoned and created with intention.
The energetic composition is filled with color, movement and attitude. Scrooge’s chef persona brings humor to the work, while the money dish becomes a symbol of abundance and possibility. Like a good recipe, life is shaped by what we choose to put into it ambition, imagination, courage and perhaps a little indulgence.
Created with acrylic, oil stick and aerosol on canvas, the work combines expressive marks, layered textures and bold contrasts. Spontaneous spray-painted elements introduce an urban edge, while the large 100 × 100 cm format gives the playful narrative a strong physical presence.
With its characteristic mix of humor and aspiration, Make Your Life Delicious continues Kossi’s exploration of money not simply as wealth, but as a symbol of choice, independence and the freedom to create life on your own terms.

My work explores freedom in its many forms through pop culture, ambition, nature and the choices that shape the way we live. In my Pop Art, familiar characters and cultural symbols become a language for exploring success, money, love, independence and the contradictions of contemporary life. Icons such as Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Monopoly, Bugs Bunny and Homer Simpson are removed from their familiar narratives and placed into new ones sometimes humorous, sometimes provocative, but always reflecting something about the world we live in and what we choose to value. Alongside this, my abstract work has evolved through a closer connection to nature. Living and working between wild landscapes in South Africa has shifted my perspective from the symbols of success toward something more elemental — land, time, movement, solitude and the freedom that comes from living closer to nature. What connects these seemingly different bodies of work is a continuing search for freedom. Freedom to succeed. Freedom to question. Freedom to change. And ultimately, freedom to live life on your own terms. I believe art can shift perspective. For me, creativity is not only a way of making images, but a way of understanding life — and continually redefining what truly matters.
