 About the artwork:

"Smart Money Has a Plan" is a bold and captivating original pop art painting by contemporary artist Kristin Kossi. Measuring 71 x 71 x 4 cm, this 2024 creation combines acrylic, collage, and spray paint on premium canvas. The piece is signed, dated, and comes ready to hang, offering an immediate statement of luxury, wit, and modern cultural commentary.

At the heart of the composition is Scrooge McDuck — reimagined as a savvy, stylish icon of success. Reclining confidently on a shimmering pile of golden coins, he exudes sophistication in his cool fit and black hat. A money bag in one hand reinforces his mastery over wealth, while an Audemars Piguet watch on his wrist speaks to precision, status, and strategic thinking.

Perfect for collectors who appreciate pop culture icons with a twist, financial symbolism, and art that speaks to the mindset of success, this one-of-a-kind painting merges style with meaning — making it a timeless addition to an exclusive collection.

My work lives at the intersection of bold pop culture and personal reflection. Through layered textures, iconic characters, and unexpected juxtapositions, I explore the contradictions of modern life — glamour and grit, success and satire, chaos and clarity. Much of my work reimagines familiar faces — from cartoon legends to luxury icons — not to glorify them, but to question them, twist them, and ultimately make them my own. Characters like Mr. Monopoly, Bugs Bunny, or Homer Simpson become vessels to talk about ambition, abundance, and the absurdity of our times. It’s all pop — but it’s also deeply personal.

At the heart of it, I believe in art as transformation. I believe in creativity not just as a medium, but as a way of life — to shift perspective, to provoke thought, and to connect.
